(COLUMBUS) - The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department is using the star power of Columbus native and NASCAR star Tony Stewart to improve area parks in the Columbus.
The Tony Stewart Foundation along with private donors will help fund improvements to Ninth Street Park, Pence Street Park and Morningside Park in the "Race to Play" initiative.
The Parks and Recreation annual meeting also unveiled plans for improvements to Hamilton Center that include improvements to the locker rooms and a more user friendly concession area.
