(WASHINGTON) - Three Washington residents are in jail after federal, state and local police served a warrant on a Washington residence Tuesday night.
Around 8 p.m. the U.S. Marshal's Service, along with state and Washington city police went to 17 Coronado Drive in Washington to serve a warrant on 43-year-old James Choate.
When police entered the home they also discovered a meth lab and the Washington Fire Department was called to stand by.
A tazer was used on Choate, who fought with police during the raid.
Arrested on numerous drug charges were Choate, 26-year-old Adam Conger, and 37-year-old Angela Marie Stapelton, all of Washington. The three are being held in the Daviess County Security Center.
Choate faces local charges of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, resisting law enforcement, obstruction of justice, dealing in methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine, illegal possession of a syringe, visiting a common nuisance.
In addition he faces several drug related charges contained in the warrant carried by the U.S. Marshals, of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement, and possession of two or more chemical reagents.
Conger and Stapleton were charged with dealing in methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, possession of a syringe, and visiting a common nuisance.
The three are being held in the Daviess County Security Center, No bond has been set. .
