(BEDFORD) - Feel the beat of "those dancing' feet" at "TAP - The Show," a song and dancespectacular created by Matt Davenport Productions.

Live On Stage, Inc. and Lawrence County Concert Association announce Tap Dance Spectacular to continue their 2012-2013 Concert Season.

Traverse the globe on this whirlwind tour of step-dancing from stage to the streets at the Bedford North Lawrence Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 7:30 pm. Single tickets for this event are $20. For more information please contact Charles Edwards at 812-279-6542.

TAP is the culmination of years researching the traditions of step dancing by writer/director Scott Seidl. As a percussionist and dancer himself Seidl's interest in the expressive power in this marriage of dance and percussionist was realized when Executive Producer Matt Davenport challenged him in the 2009 to create a truly unique dance production.

Since then the show has become a perennial favorite at Hershypark in Pennsylvania and garnered the "Heartbeat" award from the International Association Amusement Parks and Attractions.

The success of the show has led to the creation of a full theatrical version of the production for this national tour.

The show explores the international family tree of tap dancing, including Irish, African and Spanish traditions, as well as contemporary urban expressions.

Musical selections range from percussive flamenco and tribal compositions, to the Beatles, Aerosmith, and the iconic Fred Astaire.

The Lawrence County Concert Association is celebrating 20 years of presenting nationally acclaimed artists to the community.

This all-volunteer nonprofit organization is committed to enriching the cultural life of the Bedford / Lawrence County area through live performances.

Thanks to the generosity of Patrons and Sponsors, these concerts can be offered at affordable, family friendly prices.

Live On Stage, Inc. provides excellent, affordable, entertainment attractions and support services to an American community of concert presenters. For more information, visit www.LiveOnStage.biz.
