State And Local Officials Seeking Public Input On Transportation Plan

(BEDFORD) - State and local officials are seeking public input on a transportation plan for Lawrence and area counties.

The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 27 at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, 1116 16th St.

The Indiana Department of Transportation reports that Seymour Transit, Rural Transit and Transit Authority of Stone City are working on a plan update meeting for Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe and Owen counties.

Topics for the meeting include: the current plan, current transportation problems, existing coordination efforts and the way to develop a plan for 2013-2017, according to INDOT.

The public can bring up current transportation needs, and ideas for the 2013-2017 plan.
