(DUGGER) - Lyndsey Sullivan accused of stealing a magazine from Wal-Mart that had previously asked her not to come back because they say she'd stolen items before, was arrested Tuesday.

Anna Rochell, of the Greene County Daily World reports, the jail log listed an address for the 24-year-old Sullivan in rural Dugger but when Patrolman Nick Yingling began an investigation, he learned she was staying in Lyons.

When he went to that address, accompanied by Lyons Town Marshal Ron Sparks, a man said he'd kicked her out. The officers then located her at a residence in Newberry.

Yingling began investigating after he took a report from the Walmart store in Linton on Jan. 21. An asset protection officer from the store showed him video that caught a suspect, identified by the store officer as Sullivan, picking up a magazine then leaving the store without making payment.

The employee told Yingling that Sullivan had been banned from the store in 2011 for alleged theft, and that she had signed an acknowledgment that she was banned.

According to an affidavit, when Officers Yingling and Sparks found Sullivan and questioned her, she said she had a bad memory and did not remember when she had gone to the store but said she did go there to get food for her children -- the video showed she did purchase meat and a can of soda.

She did remember that she was banned from the store, and when asked if she remembered picking up a magazine, she reportedly said she did pick it up and that she walked out with it. She said she did not know why she did it.

The case was filed and a warrant issued for her arrest on Jan. 24.

Sullivan was booked into the Greene County Jail on Tuesday then released the same day after posting $500 cash, 10 percent of a $5,000 bond.

She is scheduled to appear in Greene Circuit Court on Feb. 13 for an initial hearing when she will be charged with theft, a class D felony, and criminal trespass, a class A misdemeanor.
