Lawrence County Domestic Violence Intervention Needs Talented Artist To Create Logo

Last updated on Tuesday, February 12, 2013

(UNDATED) - The Lawrence County Chapter of Domestic Violence Intervention is looking for Picassos who wish to put their talents forward to create the group a logo.

Entries are currently being accepted with a deadline of May 1.

The contest provides Lawrence County artists a unique opportunity to develop and showcase their talent.

The Community Sector of Lawrence County Chapter of Domestic Violence Intervention is sponsoring the contest and prizes will be awarded.

The logo will be featured at events the group sponsors and will serve to mark places where victims of domestic violence can go seek assistance and refuge. All the artwork submitted will be on display at special events and businesses throughout the year.

The contest is open to students 12-years-old and older and adults.

The artwork must be original artwork and incorporate the dark purple domestic violence ribbon.

Students can submit their artwork to their art teachers. Adults can submit their art work at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce or Hoosier Uplands in Mitchell.

Artwork must be submitted on an 8.5" by 11" paper by May 1 and include the person's name, age, address and telephone number and if possible an email address. Those wishing to remain anonymous can state that on the back of the artwork, but still include your information so prizes can be awarded.

The group reserves the right to modify entries to fit their purposes for future events.
