(BLOOMINGTON) - A fraternity house on Indiana University’s campus caught fire Sunday morning, displacing its residents for a few days.
Indiana University Police Department Chief Cash says IUPD was called to North Jordan Avenue to the Phi Psi fraternity house at 10:15 a.m.
Callers reported there was smoke in the house.
Fire crews arrived and located a small fire in the attic above a common room in the house.
Damage was done to the roof in order for crews to access the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Residents of the fraternity will be displaced for a few days. Police say the university is working to arrange temporary housing.
"We are working closely with the chapter, their House Corporation Board and Residential Programs and Services to provide as much support to the chapter as we can," said Michael Goodman, senior assistant director for fraternity and sorority life in IU's Student Life and Learning office, in an email.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious but it will be investigated.
