(MITCHELL) - Lawrence InterFaith Endeavor Director Donnie Hall, recently received $179 from the first graders at Hatfield Elementary School.
Hall says the students decided to donate the money to the Blessings In A Backpack program instead of exchanging gifts or giving gifts to their teachers this year.
Hall says adults can take a lesson from these giving students, "It's better to give then to receive."
He appreciates these student's heartfelt donation.
