(LINTON) - The Greene County General Hospital Foundation is offering businesses and individuals the opportunity to be a part the Emergency Room expansion.

Sabrina Westfall, of the Greene County Daily World reports, the hospital foundation is selling engraved bricks, which will be featured as part of the permanent structure in the new addition to the hospital.

Chief Financial Officer April Settles says the recognition bricks are going to become a permanent part of the hospital and incorporated into the landscaping, such as at a bench or as a sidewalk.

The actual placement is unknown at this time. It depends on how many are sold. The bricks are available in a 4-inch by 8-inch size ($50), which will allow three lines of text with 20 characters per line, or 8-inch by 8-inch sizes ($100), which will allow five lines of text with 20 characters per line.

The bricks will be engraved with laser technology to ensure the strength and durability of the bricks. "Part of the proceeds will go to support the addition.

The other portion will go towards the cost of the brick. Settles says the foundation hopes to continue selling the bricks until May or June, but said the project can be extended if needed.

Forms can also be picked up at the hospital in the Administration Office on the ground floor.

Those who are interested in contributing in the building project can give monetary donations in the amounts of $250, $750 and $1,000, and their names will be included in a plaque at the hospital dedication. The information is available at the Greene County General Hospital, LLC offices or outside the administration offices at the hospital.
