Update: English Woman Dies In Crash Near Paoli

(PAOLI) - An English woman was killed after she crashed her vehicle on Ind. 37, Thursday afternoon.

61-year-old Sue Alexander, of English, was pronounced dead at IU Health Paoli Hospital.

According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release from Bill Fullington says officers received a 911 call at 3:19 p.m. reporting the crash on Ind. 37, three miles south of Paoli.

Fullington say the vehicle, for some unknown reason, ran off the west side of the road. The driver over-corrected and caused the vehicle to travel back across the roadway and overturn several times.

The English was ejected from the vehicle.

An IU Health Paoli Hospital ambulance crew, along with firefighters from Southeast Fire and Paoli Fire Department treated Alexander at the scene and then she was taken to IU Health Paoli Hospital where she died from her injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
