(BEDFORD) - Bedford Federal Savings Bank elected Becky Skillman, former Lt.
Governor and President/CEO of Radius Indiana, and Shelley Kenworthy, Executive Vice President of Bedford Federal Savings Bank, as directors.
"The board welcomes the extensive expertise Becky and Shelley bring," said Jack Kenworthy, President and CEO of Bedford Federal Savings Bank. "The management team will benefit from the knowledge and experiences of our new board members.
A native of Bedford, Becky Skillman worked in government for 36 years and most recently served as Lt. Governor of the state of Indiana from 2005 - 2013. During that time, Skillman managed five state agencies, including the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, the Office of Energy Development, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the Office of Community and Rural Affairs and the Office of Tourism Development. She also chaired the state's Counter Terrorism and Security Council and served as president of the Indiana Senate.
Skillman is an alumna of Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband Steve are residents of Bedford. Skillman Is also the chief executive of Radius Indiana, a southern Indiana economic development group.
Shelley Kenworthy has been with Bedford Federal Savings Bank since 1980 and brings over 33 years of banking expertise. In addition to her success as a leading bank executive in Lawrence County, Shelley Kenworthy is well known for her civic involvement throughout the area inclusive of currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for Becky's Place and L.I.F.E. Food Pantry. Shelley Kenworthy also previously served as a board member of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, the Limestone Girls Club, and the United Way of Lawrence County.
Shelley Kenworthy is a graduate of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. She and her husband Jack (President of Bedford Federal Savings Bank) reside in Northern Lawrence County.
