(UNDATED) - Several animal rights groups oppose a state senate bill they say would prevent whistleblowers from exposing the mistreatment of animals on industrial farms.
Senate Bill 373 would make it unlawful to make a recording or take a photograph of an agricultural or industrial operation without the consent of the owner.
The Humane Society of the United States says the bill, if passed, will help hide animal abuse and unsafe conditions.
