Washington Man Arrested In Connection With String Of Burglaries

(WASHINGTON) - A man connected with a string of burglaries is in jail.

Washington Police Department received a phone call Friday afternoon saying a large screen television and jewelry were taken from a home off of Southeast 13th Street.

Officers received another call shortly after about a man staying in a vacant home on HIll Court.

When Police arrived, the suspect allegedly fled the scene. Washington Police were able to locate the suspect, 26-year-old Adam Sponn.

Sponn is connected to several burglaries in the city and county.

He remains in Daviess County Security Center for burglary and possession of stolen property.

The Washington City Police and Daviess County Sheriff's Department are investigating numerous burglaries possible connected with the incident.
