Police Break Up Fight At Bloomington Bar

Last updated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police officers were alerted to a fight at Kilroy’s Sports Bar at 3 a.m. Sunday.

Sgt. Lucas Tate says officers were flagged down by bar employees and found a 24-year-old male bleeding from the nose.

The victim told police the fight began between a group of people he did not know and a friend of his. He reportedly was hit in the nose when he tried to break up the fight. Police did call an ambulance.

Tate says there had been multiple confrontations between the parties throughout the night, which escalated to a physical fight.

Tate says officers reviewed surveillance footage, and most of the individuals involved have been identified. Tate says one person was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.
