(BEDFORD) - North Lawrence Career Center will offer an adult welding class beginning Jan. 14.
The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. Monday through Friday until the total instruction time of 40 hours is met.
The fee for the class is $250 and pays for instruction, steel, gases and other supply costs. A total of 10 students is needed for the class to proceed.
Students will learn beginning welding skills and progress to higher levels as their ability grows. More advanced students can learn oxy-fuel welding and cutting, shielded arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, welding ferrous metals, nor-ferrous metals, aluminum, plasma cutting, reading welding symbols, blueprints and metal fabrication.
The program allows for individualized training to help meet each student's interests.
