(FRENCH LICK) - The Melton Public Library in French Lick will host a disaster preparedness program at 7 p.m. on Jan. 29.
Jeannette Huesca of the American Red Cross Monroe County chapter will present the power-point program, which represents the cooperative efforts of the Red Cross and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Huesca points out that there are three actions that can make a difference in any disaster situation: 1. Get a Kit. 2. Make a Plan. and 3. Be Informed.
The program at the Melton Public Library will assist participants in those three actions and will help them be ready if disaster should strike.
It is free and open to the public.
This program is a part of the series sponsored by Melton Public Library and Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.
