(BEDFORD) - The Bedford North Lawrence chapter of the FFA will host its Sweetheart Contest this Saturday at the Performing Arts Center.
BNL FFA members seeking the crown are freshman Elizabeth Brock, sophomore Taylor Lackey, junior Katie Burton and senior Olivia Shirley.
The contest starts at 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students with a current school ID and kids ages 5 and under are free.
The contest chooses an FFA member as "Sweetheart" on the basis of personality, presence and poise. All profits go to support the Indiana State FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar.
Judging criteria includes, an interview with judges, FFA official dress, talent, "Down on the Farm" wear and evening gown.
