DNR Looking For Volunteers

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Department of Natural Resources wants 38 volunteers to work on trails this summer at four state parks for the Indiana Heritage Corps program.

Volunteers will receive on-site housing, a living allowance of $340 per month, an education stipend of more than $1,400, and a chance to earn college credit.

Participating state parks are Pokagon, Fort Harrison, Brown County and O'Bannon Woods. Volunteers will clean, restore and construct trails in the four parks.

Candidates should be at least 17, U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, pass an FBI background check, and make a 31⁄2 month commitment beginning May 13.
