(COLUMBUS) -Two people were arrested recently after Columbus narcotics officers noticed them allegedly dealing and selling cocaine at a gas station located at 3101 North National Road.

Lt. Matt Myers, with Columbus Police, says 30-year-old Derrick Averitte, of Columbus, and 33-year-old Tenesha Green, of Columbus, were preliminarily charged with dealing cocaine and are being held in the Bartholomew County Jail.

Myers says following the arrests, police were able to get a search warrant for their residence located in the 3500 block of Nicholas Lane. Neighbors told police that a lot of traffic had been coming and going from there recently.
