(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly took a gun to Bedford Cellular and threatened his ex-wife.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers received a 911 call at 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, saying a man had entered the store threatened his ex and allegedly had a handgun.
Parsley says police surrounded the area preventing anyone from leaving or entering the area for safety reasons, until they could apprehend 29-year-old William McArtor, of 260 Walnut Heights.
When police arrived, McArtor was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot and police determined he did have a handgun in the console of the vehicle.
Parsley says McArtor had went to the store to discuss the couple's cell phone agreement and he became angry.
McArtor was arrested without incident and charged with possession of a handgun without a permit and intimidation, a Class D felony.
