WFD and WTVFD Fight Large Brush Fire

(WASHINGTON) - At 8:59 p.m. Thursday evening, Washington 9-1-1 received a call reporting a large fire of undetermined nature near Maxwell Avenue.

The first units from the Washington Fire Department arrived at 9:02 a.m. they found a large brush fire in a wooded area.

Although the fire was discovered to be outside the Washington city limits, the Fire Department continued to fight until the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department could be notified.

The Washington Fire Department was on the scene until 9:43 p.m.

Units from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department remained on the scene until a little before 11:00 p.m.

No injuries or major damage were reported.
