Project Bow-Wow Presents Pet Oxygen Mask To Marshall Volunteer Fire Department

Last updated on Monday, December 3, 2012

(BEDFORD) - Project Bow-Wow gave a pet oxygen mask system to Marshall Volunteer Fire Department.

Macy and Miley Nikirk presented the mask system to Marshall Fire Chief Chad Hayes. The mask was purchased by Nottger Chiropractic.

But the girls still need your help.

They are raising funds to buy pet oxygen masks for all the fire departments and ambulance services in Lawrence County. They are looking for individuals and business to help.

The girls began their quest Project Bow Wow after seeing a photo in the Times-Mail of firefighters giving oxygen to a cat that was rescued at a house fire on Edgewood Drive.

The girls are pet lovers and know how much their pet means to them and if they can help save someone's pet, when they have lost everything else, they want to be able to do that.

The girls presented Bedford Fire Department Chief Jon Wagner five masks during the annual fire prevention dinner last year. The girls goal to purchase 22 masks for each volunteer fire department.

The reusable masks cost about $65 each.

To make donations, Checks should be made to Project Bow Wow and sent to P.O. Box 1194, Bedford. The donations are tax deductible.
