(OOLITIC) - Students at Oolitic Middle School and Dollens Elementary School will not have to make up the day they missed because of a fire at the school on November 19th.
The fire, sparked by a faulty lighting ballast, filled the building with smoke and cause students to miss school on November 20th.
North Lawrence Superintendent Dennis Turner says the Indiana Department of Education on Friday granted the schools' waiver request.
