(BEDFORD) - An Oolitic man was arrested after police found him passed out in his vehicle Saturday morning.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were on patrol when they noticed a vehicle parked in the lot of the Dollar General Store on X Street at 3:34 a.m.

"They attempted to rouse the man, but he was unresponsive," Parsley says. "They then used an unlocking tool to enter the vehicle and make sure he was okay."

Inside the vehicle was 24-year-old Brandon Reynolds.

"He was intoxicated and officers transported him to the hospital where he consented to a blood-draw," Parsley says. "He was then arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated."
