(BLOOMFIELD) - A Greene County Sheriff's Department say no foul play was involved in the jailhouse hanging of an inmate on November 23.

34-year-old Dallas Gose, of Jasonville, an inmate, died three days later on Nov. 26 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Other inmates and jailers found Gose hanging by his neck with a bed sheet at about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 23.

Hasler says Gose was found hanging by his neck with a bed sheet at 9:30 a.m. on November 23.

Inmates and jail officials were able to remove Gose and provide medical assistance.

Hasler says that Gose was taken to Greene County General Hospital in Linton and later transferred to Bloomington.

Monroe County Coroner Nicole Meyer says Gose died from injuries associated with asphyxiation.

Hasler says prior to the incident Gose had showed no signs that he was going to harm himself.

According to court documents, Gose was being held on one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, both felony charges. The charges were filed Oct. 22.

Gose, who was being held on a $20,000 surety bond, was scheduled for a jury trial on March 5, 2013.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Gose was arrested Oct. 31 after he was accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl in Linton's A.M. Risher Pool. Several adults and children at the pool witnessed the incident.

On June 9, Gose allegedly became upset with pool lifeguards and officials who advised him that his behavior with the young girl was in violation of the pool's policy against public display of affection. Pool officials called Linton police.

The girl told investigators that she and Gose left the pool that day and went behind the nearby bowling alley and did engage in a sex act.

Gose, who had an extensive criminal history, was also facing misdemeanor battery and public intoxication charges in Monroe County.
