(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was injured after she crashed her car into a utility pole and tree Sunday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Carrie Hackney was traveling west on Stevens Lane when a motorcycle rider approached her vehicle.
Hackney told police she pulled her vehicle to the right side of the road to avoid the motorcycle and that caused her 2007 Chevrolet HHR to go off the side of the road and hit the utility pole and a tree.
The airbags on the vehicle deployed. Hackney complained of pain to her arm and thumb but refused medical treatment.
