(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell woman was arrested early Sunday morning after she allegedly slammed her 14-year-old daughter’s head off a coffee table and beat her during an altercation at their apartment in the 100 block of North Sixth Street.
According to a Mitchell Police officer, 40-year-old Kathy Wilcoxen was arrested after a neighbor in the apartment building called police at 4:06 a.m. reporting the disturbance.
Police went to the apartment and found the girl injured.
Wilcoxen was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail on charges of battery on a minor.
