Last updated on Wednesday, December 26, 2012

(BROWNSTOWN) - Jackson County Water Utility reminds customers south of U.S. 50 in Brownstown to boil their water until further notice.

This only affects customers along South Main Street, South Poplar, Stephanie Drive, Steinkamp Street, Cummings Street and Kimberly Drive.

Water service has been restored in this area, but you should boil all water vigorously for at least five minutes, allow to cool prior to drinking or using for food preparation. Boiling the water prior to use for other purposes is not necessary in response to the test results.
