(BEDFORD) - Bedford Lions Club Salvation Army kettle drive volunteer Newell Clifton and Alex McTier were outside of Kmart sharing smiles as people dropped money into the kettle.

The two have served as bell ringers every year since the club was organized in 1948.

The Lions also conducted a Salvation Army food drive Christmas Theater Party from 1948 until 1977.
