Last updated on Thursday, November 8, 2012

(BEDFORD) - A Norman teen and his passenger were taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after he crashed his Bronco into a retaining wall at 1:37 a.m. today.

According to a Bedford Police report, 18-year-old Clint Wilson was adjusting his radio when he lost control of his 1985 Ford Bronco II and crossed the center line on 16th Street and crashed into the stone retaining wall at East Side Car Wash.

Police say that neither Wilson nor his passenger 22-year-old Megan Shelley, of Bedford, were wearing their seatbelts.

Firefighters from the Bedford Fire Department freed the two from the vehicle.

"The guys were pretty concerned especially about the young man," said Fire Chief Jon Wagner. "They hit the wall hard, destroying it."

According to police, Wilson suffered severe bleeding and injuries to his entire body and Shelley complained of chest pain. Both were rushed from the scene to IU Health Hospital and both were taken to Methodist Hospital.
