Last updated on Friday, November 2, 2012

(BEDFORD) - Two teen aged boys dressed in Ku Klux Klan costumes found themselves in trouble Halloween night.

According to Bedford Police Department Chief Dennis Parsley, officers warned the 15- and 17-year-old at about 5 p.m. Wednesday that they were receiving complaints about their choices of costumes and their pranks.

According to the police log, several residents called complaining the teens were waving sticks at motorist and refusing to get out of the roadway to let them pass.

Officers talked to the juveniles several times but they refused to heed officer's warnings.

At 12:40 a.m. Thursday they and an 18-year old were arrested after they had reportedly tried to break into an apartment in the 1600 block of L Street. The two juveniles, both of Bedford, were charged with juvenile delinquency by burglary, attempted burglary and curfew violation.

The 18-year-old, Jeremiah Johnson, of Bedford, was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Parsley says police found Johnson in possession of a stolen knife.
