Prosecutors Still Investigating Fatal Stabbing

Last updated on Monday, November 12, 2012

(BEDFORD) - Authorities are still trying to determine if a crime was committed during a fight in which a man was fatally stabbed.

Lawrence County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Tim Sledd says they have the reports and are reviewing them.

According to Bedford Police, two Lawrence County men were fighting just before 5 a.m. on May 18th in the parking lot of Rusty's West End.

46-Year-Old Michael Holt died in the parking lot from a stab wound.

Bedford Police gave the prosecutor's office their reports, two weeks after the incident.

The prosecutor's office received the lab results from that case in September.

The police and prosecutors are not releasing the name of the other man who alleged stabbed Holt saying the case is still under investigation.

Sledd is not saying when their investigation will be finished.
