Police Investigate Fight At Jail

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police Detective Phil Wigley is investigating a fight between two inmates at the jail.

Chief Deputy Mike Branham says there were no substantial injuries during the fight that happened around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

One of the inmates was checked by the medical staff at the jail and there were no concerns.

Branham says fights and battery complaints among inmates are isolated.

Police are not releasing the name of the inmates involved.
