(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Eastern Heights Drive after a request for an ambulance because of a gunshot wound.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, they found a 23-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to his arm from a .22-caliber handgun.
The man was taken by Rural Metro ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
"The injure was self-inflected," says Craig. "And happened inside the home. No other investigation will be done because it was not a criminal offense."
