(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell woman was injured after she was hit by a vehicle on O Street between 16th and 17th streets Sunday night.
According to a Bedford Police report, 33-year-old Christina Shaw was walking south across 17th Street when she was hit by a car at 8:40 p.m. Sunday night.
Shaw says she was crossing the street when a car that was driving south on O Street made a west turn onto 17th Street and hit her.
No description of the vehicle is listed on the police report. Shaw told police she was given the driver's information and the driver fled the scene. Police say the information Shaw received was false.
Shaw suffered hip and leg pain and was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Bedford police.
