(LINTON) - Randy Lee Miller, of Linton, is facing an April jury trial after he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and baseball bat during a domestic dispute last week at a mobile home park.
Miller is charged with intimidation and domestic battery in the presence of a minor. A jury trial was set for 9 a.m. on April 2, 2013.
Miller is alleged to have battered the woman at a mobile home park on Nov. 5.
According to a probable cause affidavit Miller and the woman were in a heated argument and were calling each other names. A shoving match followed and the woman was injured after Miller allegedly shoved her.
The woman had bruises and marks on her arm and thumb.
Miller then allegedly got a baseball bat from a bedroom and attempted to hit the woman. The woman grabbed the bat and struggled with Miller.
Police says at some point the woman was able to get the bat away from Miller and that is when he allegedly threatened to "cut her tongue out and threatened to kill her new boyfriend".
Police say the woman was able to take her two children and leave the house. She was putting the children in her vehicle when Miller came outside with a knife and threatened to slash the tires.
That is when she dialed 911.
Miller denied the allegations, but did tell police he "lose his cool."
