Jackson County Bank Needs Help Dressing Dolls For Children

(BEDFORD) - Jackson County Bank has purchased a quantity of undressed dolls that customers may check out at no cost in order to sew or buy an outfit to dress the doll.

The dolls are to be returned to the bank, and they will be donated to a local charitable organization that will distribute them to area children by Christmas Day.

Once all the dolls have been returned to JCB, they will be judged and ribbons will be awarded for best-dressed doll in several categories. An an overall grand prize winner also will be chosen. As Christmas draws near, the dolls will be

"JCB has a strong commitment to the communities in which we serve," said Katherine Smith, assistant vice president of marketing for JCB. "This program has proven very successful throughout several decades and the reason for this is simple: we live in a community in which the residents care about one another."

Anyone interested in participating may visit the JCB branches at 2635 16th St. or 1515 K St. to check out a doll. Dolls may be checked out any time during bank hours.
