Last updated on Monday, November 12, 2012

(COLUMBUS) - Union Workers at the Dolly Madison factory in Columbus went on strike Friday evening, potentially forcing the company to take drastic action and possibly shut down factories permanently.

The strike began around 6:30 p.m. with all of the 160 union members locally. The company across the country employs over 18,500.

The union employees voted to strike after being forced to agree on an 8 percent pay cut and increased benefit costs.
