(BROWNSTOWN) - Board of trustees of Brownstown Central Community Schools approved salaries and benefits for bus drivers, classified employees and administrators during a meeting Tuesday night, Oct. 23, at the school administration building.
Salaries and benefits for the 2012-2013 school year were approved as recommended by Superintendent Roger Bane.
Administrators will receive a one-time stipend equaling five per cent of the employee's contracted salary for the school year. Two-year contracts were approved for all administrators.
Classified employees will receive a one-time stipend equaling five per cent of the employee's contracted salary.
The board also approved Bane's recommendation for a $14.34 hourly rate for Laurie Fawver, corporation receptionist and board secretary, retroactive to July 1.
Other hourly rate increases included: ECA bus drivers, from $10.97 to $11.50; substitute cleaning/cafeteria, from $9 to $9.75; substitute custodian, $10 to $10.75; summer help, $9 to $10; substitute aide, $53.97 to $54.50 per day, and substitute teacher, from $72.38 to $74 per day.
