Bloomington Kroger, Excise Aim To Minimize Underage Drinking

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington Kroger location is working with the Indiana State Excise Police to reduce underage access to alcohol.

The partnership resulted in 21 arrests Friday.

Excise officers worked with the Kroger in the 500 block of South College Avenue Friday night as part of the Cops-in-Shops program.

The effort resulted in the arrest of 21 people on 27 charges.

Ten minors were charged with illegal possession of alcohol. Four minors were also charged with possession of a fake ID.

Officers also arrested four people for theft and three people for providing alcohol to a minor. Furthermore, one person was arrested for criminal trespass, one for possession of marijuana, one for false informing, one for juvenile possession of tobacco, and one for furnishing tobacco to a juvenile.
