(SALEM) - A Salem woman arrested last Friday night had a blood alcohol content of .28; more than three times Indiana's legal limit of .08.
Stephanie Taylor Ferriell, of the Leader-Democrat reports, Lola Kramer, 43, 218 E. Oak Dr., is employed by the Washington County Division of Child Services (formerly Child Protective Services).
Salem City Police responded to a 911 call at 9:50 p.m. reporting a small SUV driving on the wrong side of the road on East Market Street near the fairgrounds. As Officer Carey Cook approached the vehicle he saw a Honda Pilot parked in the roadway and a partially clothed woman getting into the driver's side.
Cook activated his emergency lights and the vehicle pulled away, stopping after traveling about 50 yards. Cook's report says Kramer's speech was slurred and she was slumped over the seat "and could not keep herself from falling."
Kramer failed field sobriety tests and was transported to St. Vincent Salem Hospital for a blood test.
She was arrested on three misdemeanor charges; public nudity, OWI and OWI endangerment.
Kramer posted a $500 bond and was released from the Washington County Detention Center.
