Last updated on Wednesday, October 10, 2012

(BLOOMFIELD) - A 3-year-old Linton girl was injured during Sunday’s Bloomfield Apple Festival parade when she fell off of a float.

The Greene County Daily World reports that Brynley Franklin, the daughter of Wes and Halea Franklin, was riding on the Greene County General Hospital float and wanted to walk with the adults when the mishap occurred.

According to her mother, the toddler was trying to get off the float when she fell and the back wheels of the trailer ran over her groin and hip area.

The toddler was transported by Greene County Ambulance to Greene County General Hospital in Linton where she was initially treated in the emergency room and then transferred to IU Health Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis by ambulance.

Luckily, her injuries were not serious and she was released from the hospital Monday afternoon.
