(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army of Lawrence County is beginning sign-ups for Christmas assistance.

Captain Donna Rose says those seeking assistance need to call the Salvation Army to set up an appointment to receive the help.

No walk-ins will be accepted.

Call 275-5429 anytime and leave a message giving your full name and a call back number. Someone will then return your call and set up an appointment.

Appointments will be made during the month of October.

Rose says appointments need to be set-up as soon as possible.

The Salvation Army's goal is for families to celebrate a stress free holiday.
