(BONO) - A Bedford man crashed into the yard of Samuel Arp Monday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 43-year-old Matthew Bevers was traveling north on Noe Road near Eagleview Road when he drove his 2010 Kia off the east side of the roadway, into Arp's yard hitting two wooden timbers and some driveway lights.
Bever continued through the yard and back out onto Noe Road, fleeing the accident scene.
He then continued north to State Road 60 East..
Police believe Bevers was intoxicated at the time of the accidents. The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
However Bevers does not agree with the police report. He says he was not driving the 2010 Kia and does not own the vehicle.
Bevers says after being questioned by police at an undisclosed location, he was never given a breathalyzer, blood-alcohol or any sobriety test.
