(OOLITIC) - Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department is making plans to celebrate its 100 year anniversary in 2013.

Chief Jason Lewis says the department is planning a breakfast on Nov. 3 for anybody who has been a member of the Oolitic Fire Department.

Lewis says there is no cost for members or past members to come and eat breakfast.

Firefighters are asking those who attend to bring stories and any memorabilia they might have.

The department asks that those who plan to attend the breakfast sign up in advance so an adequate amount of food can be prepared.

Those planning on attending can call the department at 279-0477 or if they know one of the firefighters, they can let them know.

Reservations also can be made on the department's Facebook page.

Reservations are needed by Oct. 29.
