(BEDFORD) - Success and Opportunity At Reading, the adult literacy organization, is sponsoring a No-Show Masquerade Ball to raise awareness and funds to fight illiteracy in Lawrence County.
You don't have to dress up for a no-show event. Simply mail a contribution by Wednesday to SOAR, 1116 16th St., Bedford, and enjoy a night at home.
But if you can't resist the urge to get out on the town, you can still help SOAR. German American will host a "Remember Then" 1960s and '70s musical benefit for "SOAR" performed by Forever Gold.
The show will start at 7 p.m. Saturday in Schafer Auditorium.
Tickets cost $10, children younger than 12 will be admitted for no charge.
Tickets are available at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce, Copy Trolley, German American Bank and the Lawrence County Tourism Commission office.
