IU Police Called After Crowd Gathers Around Preacher

Last updated on Wednesday, October 10, 2012

(BLOOMINGTON) - A visit by campus preacher Micah Anderson, also known as Brother Micah, and his wife Elizabeth resulted in a visit from IU Police Department officers Monday afternoon near the red clock tower next to Woodburn Hall.

Police were called after a group of student began encroaching on Anderson, backing him closer and closer to the Jordan River, because they didn't like his preaching.

IUPD officers arrived at about 2:45 p.m. and spoke briefly to Anderson and his wife.

The crowd of students dispersed by about 2:50 p.m., with about 10 students staying behind to listen as Anderson resumed preaching.
