'Having Two Ways Out' Promoted During Fire Safety Week

(BEDFORD) - Bedford and Lawrence County Volunteer Firefighters are teaching children about fire safety this week.

Bedford firefighters were at Parkview Intermediate School Wednesday.

BFD Chief Jon Wagner says Fire Prevention Week continues in the county's schools with the theme of "Having Two Ways Out."

Bedford Firefighters are visiting schools in the city while volunteer firefighters are promoting fire safety and giving youngsters a chance to go through a fire truck at the county school..

Volunteer firefighters will also be at Beuhler's IGA on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children will be able to sit in the fire engines, talk with firefighters and feast on free food.
