Boil Order Issued After Water Main Break

(BEDFORD) - A water main break this morning has resulted in the Bedford City Utilities office issuing a precautionary boil order.

The order is effective immediately and is for the following areas:

All customers on the north side of 16th Street from the Pizza Hut to the First Church of God
All customers on the south side of 16th Street from MC Greenhouse to Bex Addition, including the Edgewood Addition, Plaza Drive, Michael Avenue and Steven Avenue.

Customers should either use bottled water or should bring tap water to a boil and let it boil vigorously for two minutes and then allow the water to cool before using it.

Pre-boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making ice, until further notice.
