Bloomington Police Looking For Suspect In Hoosier Workwear Outlet Robbery

Last updated on Friday, October 26, 2012

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are pursuing a suspect who robbed up to $550 from a local outlet store.

An owner of Hoosier Workwear Outlet, at 207 South Rogers Street, went to collect cash from the store safe located in a back office to make a deposit at about 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Bloomington Police Detective Sgt. John Kovach says, when she opened the safe, the money was not inside. Kovach says the suspect is shown on video walking up and down various aisles in a suspicious manner, as if on the lookout. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a white polo and blue jeans, with short white or grey hair and dark-rimmed glasses.

Kovach says, store surveillance footage shows that the suspect did not make a purchase while at the store and is shown in the footage repositioning the direction of the camera so it does not face the safe.

Anyone with information regarding the case or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Scott Reynolds at 349-3363.
